Kevin is a successful litigator representing commercial equipment lessors, lenders, developers, contractors and small businesses in commercial litigation, real estate and construction disputes, and collection matters.
Mr. Whiteford also represents creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Whiteford has taught at the University of California at Davis, University Extension in Sacramento, California, and at numerous continuing legal education courses.
Mr. Whiteford received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Davis, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Santa Clara. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1989, and practiced in the areas of civil litigation and real estate with the Sacramento firm of Burger & Flaherty until that firm split in 1992. Thereafter, Mr. Whiteford continued his practice in the same areas of law with Flaherty & Serlin before joining Karen Leder in 1997 to form Leder & Whiteford, LLP. In 2002, Mr. Whiteford joined Mark Serlin to create Serlin & Whiteford, LLP.
